9 CRPF Jawans Annihilated in Bihar to Avenge the Martyrs

On 22nd May, 1999, a police patrolling jeep was blown up by a landmine blast on Jehanabad-Patna highway near Karama outpost. One police officer and the driver were killed.

Again on 2 June, 9 CRPF jawans were killed in a landmine explosion near Deoria village in Patna district. The landmines were detonated when the police van in which the CRPF personnel were travelling reached Deoria bridge on its way to Bhagwanganj.

Both the blasts were set-off by CPI (ML) [People’s War] in retaliation to the murder of Comrade Nirmal and Comrade Hareram Patel in Gumla district of Bihar on 10th May.
