Flashes on how people remembered their Martyrs

 

* On the occasion of unveiling a martyr column of 40 feet height at Kalwapalli village in the Warangal-Karimnagar forests thousands of people were mobilized from the surrounding villages. People came in large numbers and attended the program from 11 AM to 5 PM.

* A huge martyr column of 50 feet height which is going to the third biggest in Asia is under construction at Guttikonda Bilam village. (This is the place where the AP State Committee meeting was held in 1968 for which Comrade Charu Mazumdar also came from West Bengal to have discussions with AP State Committee).

* On August 1st a martyr column was unveiled at Venkatapuram village in Atmakur mandal. Thousands of people attended this meeting.

* On August 3rd a meeting was held at Batupuram in Srikakulam district to uphold the heroic tradition of Srikakulam struggle. With people moved in large numbers carrying redflags the entire forest looked like a red forest.

* Gunturu, Karnool, Prakasham, Anantapur, Chittoru, Vishakha, Vijaynagaram, Srikakulam, East Godavari, Khammam, Warangal, Karimanagar, Adilabad, Nizamambad, Medak, Nalgonda, Ranga Reddy in every district people moved in thousands and held meetings in number of villages. The revolutionary enthusiasm of the people has once again livened the struggling areas.

* Thousands of people attended the meeting at Teeturalla village to pay their homage to JNM artist comrade Kumari.

* Pavurala Gutta - which is the first site of the present phase of covert operations rewrote the history by building a martyr column overnight. With the presence of revolutionary people in tears, the site of betrayal was converted into a site for revenge.

* Danadakarnya which is bordering AP also felt the revolutionary reverberations. Adivasi people of Dandakaranya who are determined to build a liberated area also took part in paying homage to the martyrs. There are reports that meetings were held in about 2000 villages in Dandakarnya.

* Chunduru Dalit resistance made its revolutionary garjana right in the face of the dethroned feudalism.

* The melody of the revolutionary songs of the people moved thousands and their determination to fulfil the dreams of the martyrs will definitely leave the year 2004 as a milestone in the protracted armed struggle of the Indian people for their emancipation.
