Suicides Are
Not Solution! Do not Lose Confidence! Don’t Fear for Loans!
Let us Fight
for Waiving all Loans, State or Private!!
To
Our beloved
peasantry of Andhra Pradesh
The entire
country has been shell-shocked on hearing of the sacrifice of your
precious lives. You, the peasants are the lifeline of the society. The
crops which you have been assuring year after year sustain humankind for
existence. If you stop ploughing, society will perish. Whatever wealth
the human race, society or a country has it significantly depends on you
and your toil. No one eats gold, silver, cash money, movable or
immovable properties. The poorer section of the society or the elite
will not remain alive in their mud huts or AC rooms without any intake
of food. You, you are the peasantry, the real ‘Mehanath Kash lok’
on the planet.
The laptop,
the pet dog of World Bank, the TDP Supremo Chandrababu Naidu mortgaged
Andhrapradesh. He assured that Andhra Pradesh would transform into
swarnadhrapradesh. Actually, what happened is that, while he and his
chamchas’ wealth fabulously ran towards accumulation of tens of
thousands of crores rupee, the common man of Andhra Pradesh,
particularly the annadatas’, have been pushed towards regular
suicides. The suicide rate has already reached a staggering number. Even
the master weavers are committing suicide when their looms fall silent
and no market is found for their goods under the CEO of Andhra Pradesh.
With all avenues closed, they too started ending their lives, the
dangerous result of the recent TDP government’s policies.
When
thousands of peasants started to commit suicide the entire people of AP
state and the country were in deep shock, yet the modern Nero and his
chamcha ministers shamelessly commented that if they declared
compensation then thousands would die for the payment of the exgratia
amount.
The recently
ousted modern CEO and his chamchas understood how to fill their coffers
but never tried to feel the pulse of the peasantry. They never thought
of taking part in any mass movement, nor did they bother to mingle with
the common man.
They occupied
the political power and ruled the state with draconian laws in Hitlarist
style. Agriculture and the peasantry as such were neglected totally. The
expenditure on inputs all increased so many times in the past ten years.
All the subsidies were curbed with a stroke of the pen under their
instructions of big boss – the World Bank. Irrigation projects were
totally neglected. In the name of cultivating high-yielding varieties of
crops, dependency on imperialism has increased many times. This is a
major imperialist way of looting the peasantry.
All round
frustration, pressure tactics from private and govt. sources which
create so much panic that the moneyless peasant is forced to act
nervously and they lose all balance to choose the suicidal path
immediately. Once this terrifying situation is created then there is no
support or consolation from parliamentary parties, democratic,
progressive people and even from revolutionary organizations in AP or
from out side. The newly elected Congress party pushed forward populist
slogans to waive the loans of the peasantry. But till now there is no
legislation on the cards. The bankers and many private lenders have been
forcing the peasantry using crude methods to collect money. With
continuous loss of crops, major loan amounts remain hanging on their
backs finally ruin them. Mear assurances are not sufficient at this
juncture. YSR and his men are not acting on warpath to avert the
suicidal deaths. Declaring exgratia only will not stop the suicides.
To build the
confidence in the annadata this is high time we intervened
collectively to save their precious lives. We here by appeal to the
revolutionary mass organizations, individuals and progressive minded
people and forces to tour the villages and build confidence in the
peasantry convincing them not to die this way. Struggle is the only way
to exist. Let us firmly stand by the peasantry to bring them in the
struggle for the waiving of all types of loans irrespective of its
nature. Workers, students, youth, women, writers and urban masses should
stand by the pauperized peasant to bring him back as a fighter to resist
the policing of Hitlarist Chandrababu and the newly elected govt. if it
puts its foot in the same shoe which laptop dog left. We fear this
possibility because the new CM has already announced to carry all the
dangerous reforms. The great Marxist teacher(!) Buddhadeb openly claimed
they are not against the ongoing reforms, which were initiated by
Manmohan, then intensified by Vajpayee and now being sold in the same of
wine in new bottle by ‘our’ Chidambarams. History proves that struggle
for existence is the law of development. So let us rally the peasants
for the armed struggle to destroy the system that forces them to
mortgage their lives to the money lenders and which thrusts many of them
to the path of committing suicide.
