After prolonged
discussion and over coming many obstacles, the Maoist Communist Centre of
India (MCCI) and the Communist Party of India (Marxist – Leninist) (Second
Central Committee) have finally, decided to merge into a single party. The
high delegations of both the organizations have arrived at this conclusion in
a meeting held on May 18 – 19, 2003. MCCI would be retained as the name of the
merged party.
The relationship
between these two organizations is more than 15 years old. Particularly from
1996 onwards victorious struggles have been launched against different forms
of non-proletarian ideology and anti-unity group-sectarian thinking thus
resulting in today’s merger. Organizational merger had actually started since
last august 2002.
This merger was
achieved after a deep and thorough analysis and considerations of basic
matters such as Marxism-Leninism-Maoism as the ideological basis, strategy and
tactics of Indian Revolution, new-colonial form of semi-colonial and
semi-feudal country as the character of the Indian state and society, its
principal and fundamental contradictions, three magic weapons i.e. Party, army
and united front, building up of army and base area as central task, class
line and mass line etc. in the interest of the national and international
communist movement, the CPI (M-L) (2
CC) has withdrawn its pro Lin Piao stand.
No doubt this
merger will play a historical role in the course of creating a real and great
Maoist stream through the genuine communist revolutionary streams even since
their inception. Of course this merger is a step forward, to the formation of
an All India Communist Party by uniting with other revolutionary organizations
particularly the CPI (M-L) (PW).
The merged party
declares its firmness to remain steadfast to the protracted people’s war, that
is the aim of building the army and base areas, and thus to complete the
New-Democratic revolution giving birth to a truly independent and socialist
India
