The revolutionary
workers of Paris for the first time in world history in 1870 destroyed the
existing state machinery to pave the way for the alternate working class power:
a heaven on the earth. Later, if anything, that brought about massive
earth-shaking change in the human history and society since the state emerged as
instrument of exploitation it was undoubtedly the Glorious October Revolution of
1917. The wretched of the earth inspired and led by comrade Lenin smashed the
Tzarist state machinery and set up for the first time a state of the workers,
and peasants’ on this earth. Comrade Lenin goes down in history as the Marxist
theoretician of practice and practitioner of theory to relentlessly fight out
the so-called socialist schools that feared the over hauling of the existing
state machinery through violent struggle of the people. Those petit-bourgeois
socialists of various hues had actual fatherhood in the socialist League of
England or the Fabian societies in that they dreamt of establishing socialism
through a process of gradualism by throwing themselves into the fray of
parliamentary action. What is an irony of history is that Leninism has been
revised and its revolutionary edge has been blunted later by none but the
parties and people using the name of communism, holding the red flag and
swearing by Marxism – Leninism. They are more dangerous than the openly vocal
enemy of Leninism. We pay our revolutionary tribute to the Great Marxist
revolutionary Comrade Lenin on his 133 birthday by holding aloft the
revolutionary essence of Leninism against the reactionary, revisionist type of
parties like the CPI(M), CPI, etc. and other nefarious groups using Lenin’s name
to trample upon the people and their movements.
The Naxalbari peasant
upsurge in 1967 was in reality a salvo fired against revisionism; it has been a
saga of heroism and dedication of thousands of revolutionaries to keep alive
Leninism which is embodied in Maoism in the present era of the Marxist movement
in the world. There have been ups and downs in the glorious struggles in the
flaming fields of Andhra, Bihar, Orissa, West Bengal, Jharkhand, Punjab, etc.
The revolutionary peasant struggles led mainly by the CPI (ML) [People’s War]
and the M.C.C.I are the source of inspiration to the people with the formation
of the People’s Guerrilla Army and the People’s Militia which hold aloft the
banner of Leninism on the "Indian soil". Those heroic death – defying struggles
for destroying the man-eating, crisis-ridden state stand out in all glory as a
Leninist model against the anti-Leninist model of the so-called Left-Front
governments faithfully serving the existing state and holding out false hope’s
of relief under the present system. The Indian revolution has to proceed
fighting out reactionary forces represented by Gandhi, Hindutva, Brahamanism and
also the fake leftism of the CPI-CPI variety.
Historically
speaking, in India revisionism or accommodative Marxism makes its presence
conspicuously felt basically in two patterns. The first is best represented by
the CPI, which had long abandoned revolutionary politics with all openness and
clarity, glorifying the parliamentary path to socialism. It is also honest
enough in officially reposing faith in the big bourgeoisie as an ally in its
efforts at gradual social change through electoral polities.
The second trend,
which is more dangerous and powerful, clamoured for partisan war and
anti-capitalist, anti-landlord phraseology while adhering to the crucial basics
of the first type of revisionism in matters such as the scope and possibility of
peaceful path to social transformation, parliamentary process, faith in the
"progressive" section of the bourgeoisie in national and international contexts,
etc. These cunning and dishonest policies were enshrined in the programme of the
reactionary CPI (M). However, it must be reiterated here that the CPI (M) has
long since abandoned its carefully-nurtured policy of occasionally holding out
against the oppressive system, threatening the ruling classes and all such talks
of militancy. The longer it stuck to the governance in this rotten state system,
the quicker it peeled off its plaster of pretention in hoodwinking the masses in
the name of Marxism-Leninism. The very word "revolution" or "revolutionary
struggle" has become obsolete.
The erstwhile leaders
of economism have turned into dirty elements purchased by capitalists; the
peasant leaders have been moulded into corrupt land sharks; party bosses and the
majority of cadres into overt or covert land brokers, promoters, musclemen to
crush the voice of protest; and contractors careerists of a despicable nature.
The CPI (M) leaders now are guiding the police department, hunting for our
cadres and sympathizers, and spying on, and attacking the militant workers,
peasants and students. It is out to butcher or hand over the dedicated Leninist
revolutionaries to the police.
The on-going
struggles in Midnapore, Bankura and some other parts of West Bengal under the
leadership of our parties — CPI (ML) [People’s War] and the MCCI — put so much
fright into the hearts of the power-hungry degenerate CPI (M) leadership that it
has been desperately trying to crush them by all conceivable forms of force
throwing thousands behind bars.
While committing all
nefarious acts, the CPI (M) stoops so low as to hold the nefarious flag’ under
the protection of the armed police of the state. Like Advani, Buddhadeb is also
engaged in unleashing state terrorism. The CPI (M) leadership deludes the people
with a torrent of lies and deception to win public opinion and justify its
anti-Leninist revolutionary-bashing spree.
Leninism teaches
about the pathetic role of the socialists joining the bourgeois ministry.
Comrade Lenin warned that the socialists joining the bourgeois ministry allow
themselves to turn into pawns in the hands of capitalists. The rot and
reactionary degoneration of the CPI (M) is but the natural culmination of its
anti-Leninist position. Though occasionally it dons the mantle of a crusader on
various small issues at least on paper, it is destined to betray people’s
causes, back-stab any movement, assume the role of police spy or directly
volunteer its ready hand in a feverish haste to nip in the bud the possibilities
of a really red movement, in cahoots with the parties of tricolour
or the saffron variety.
Leninism teaches us
that in class society the state is an organ of class rule and coercion. No
amount of pious wish to serve people’s interest using this rotten exploitative
state can bring about any alteration of the system of exploitation. The CPI (M)
deceived the people with the prospect of relief through so-called
left-governments. What followed instead was taming the flood of militant
movements of the oppressed people and providing soothing relief to the
industrialists, landowners and other vested interests.
Alongside the
revisionist CPI and CPI (M) variety, other Rightist forces have emerged who
deserted the ranks of the revolutionaries after the setback of the Naxalbari
movement in the 1970s in the name of rectification. Front ranking among them is
the CPI (ML) Liberation, which utilizes the dedication, and martyrdom of many
revolutionaries to go the CPI (M) way in Bihar and Jharkhand. We have to expose
the fake Marxists like the CPI (ML) Liberation, which deserted the ranks of the
revolutionaries for a safe shelter in the morass of parliame-ntarism. This new
Rightist trend has come as an impediment to the rising revolutionary movements.
We must consistently expose such Right opportunists in the ML camp and, the CPI
(ML) Liberation and other forces standing in the way of revolutionary progress.
The fight against Right opportunism, Revisionism, Social Fascism is one of the
most decisive tasks of our party, in advancing the Indian Revolution.
Comrades , we are
determined to implement the Leninist model of parallel power delivering
uninterrupted blows to the existing arms of the state. This is the Leninist
essence taken up by comrade Mao to achieve victory in China through a protracted
People’s War. The alternative state power has been burgeoning day by day in
hundreds of Indian villages in Bihar, Chattisghar, Jharkhand, Andhra Pradesh,
Maharashtra, Orissa, Madya Pradesh, West Bengal, etc. fighting and destroying
the existing power of the man-eating state.
Comrades and friends,
In Germany during the
1920s and 30s, the revisionist forces became a positive ally of the Fascists to
kill revolutionaries and destroy people’s movements. Here too, the CPI (M), has
now turned into a ruling class party, is out to kill revolutionaries. We must
make people aware of such social fascists and resist all their attempts to
derail the progress of revolutionary struggles. We will be paying our glowing
tribute to comrade Lenin by taking up the India-wide anti-revisionist
revolutionary propaganda campaign from 22 to 28 April for upholding the red flag
of Leninism.
The blood-soaked path
chosen by the peasants and workers of Andhra, D.K, Bihar - Jharkhand , etc.
inspiringly stands out as the only path and model for the Indian people to wrest
freedom and establish a new democratic society in India. It is to achieve this
that both of our parties have been concentrating to build the Base Areas as an
immediate task in some strategical zones and to intensify war in some other
Guerrilla Zones with the aim of seizure of political power country-wide.
