The CPI (ML)(PW)
strongly condemns the ban imposed on it and the MCC, together with the ban on
the various mass organizations associated with these parties. This is nothing
but a blatant attack on the oppressed masses of the country, amongst which these
Parties have deep roots. This ban is part of the growing fascism in the country,
promoted by the ruling-classes. It seeks to tie the hands of the masses, so that
they are unable to raise their voice against injustice. The CPI (ML)(PW) openly
declares that, with or without the ban, it will continue to mobilize the vast
masses of the Indian people against oppression and exploitation, for a just and
genuinely democratic order. It will continue its fight against all reaction. It
will advance the people’s war to eradicate all the scum from this country, who
rob, loot and murder our people.
First they banned the
Nationality and Muslim organizations, now they have banned the revolutionary
organizations, then they will ban all trade union rights, finally they will
muzzle even the limited existing right to free speech and association. Silence
against these measures will only embolden the fascists to increase their
attacks. Their intentions are clear: the changes sought in the Industrial
Disputes Act and the clause against journalist’s freedom in POTO (even if
temporarily withdrawn), indicate that they plan to crush by brute force any
resistance to their increasingly oppressive and exploitative rule.
Anti-terrorism has
become the pretext to launch systematic attacks on the people of the country, in
order to serve the interests of imperialism, feudalism and comprador bureaucrat
capitalism. Curbing democratic rights, is in order to protect the gigantic
profits of the TNCs, big-business houses and the illicit wealth usurped by the
top bureaucrats and politicians, from the people’s wrath. It is aimed also to
sustain the semi-feudal elite. That is why they have not even considered a ban
on such openly terrorist organizations as the Bajrang Dal, the Ranvir Sena and
other such armed fascist gangs.
Anti-terrorism has
also become the propaganda tool worldwide, to crush people’s movements directed
at imperialism and their lackeys. The war on Afghanistan, and now on Palestine,
is the beginning of a campaign of worldwide terror by US imperialism and its
henchmen throughout the world. The Indian rulers, together with Israel, are
becoming important tools in the hands of the US military machine to crush
resistance to America’s geo-political designs. The recent series of high-level
meetings between the defence establishments of India and America, and the
humiliating agreements reached, makes it clear that the Indian rules are
becoming total slaves of the US, all in the name of fighting international
terrorism. Similar servility is to be seen in the Indian rulers bowing to all
the dictates of the US in both economic and political spheres, which is having a
disastrous impact on the living conditions of the masses. This ban is also aimed
at curbing people’s movements against this growing US-India axis and their
policies of economic reforms. The revolutionary organizations have been in the
forefront of such movements.
The CPI (ML)(PW)
calls for the immediate removal of the ban on all 25 organisations. It also
calls for the removal of the ban on all organizations at the State-level. The
CPI (ML)(PW) calls for the scrapping of POTO and all similar legislations at the
Sate-level. The CPI (ML)(PW) calls for the repeal of all undemocratic laws at
both the Centre and in the States.
The CPI (ML)(PW)
appeals to the people of this country to fight vigorously against the recent
bans, against POTO and against all such undemocratic legislations. The CPI (ML)(PW)
appeals to the masses to steadfastly oppose our country being made a
playing-ground of imperialism, particularly of the US imperialists. The CPI (ML)(PW)
calls upon all democratic and revolutionaries forces to kick the imperialists
out and unite to fight back the growing fascist trend in the country.
