PGA Offensive in Bihar-Jarkhand

— Bihar Correspondent

Starting with the Sept.11th action, the Bihar-Jarkhand units of the Peoples’ Guerrilla Army of the PW Party, has launched an offensive against the enemy forces, putting them on the defensive. In the course of just two months, there have been four successful ambushes, killing roughly 30 para-military and police personnel and seizing a number of weapons and ammunition. Besides these, the MCC has also launched a series of attacks in this region, successfully hitting the enemy forces.

The Sept.11 ambush took place in Kaimur district in the Chainpur Road area. In this action 6 jawans of the Bihar Military Police (BMP) were killed and an SLR and carbine was seized. The newspapers falsely reported that 3 naxalites were killed in the action. The fact is that the PGA forces retreated without any loss.

Landmine blast by PGA in the Dhanrua Thana area of Patna district

On Oct. 3rd, in the Baghdad area of Gadva district the PGA ambush resulted in the death of 5 district police and serious injury to four others. Amongst the 5 killed was the DSP of police. It was about 11 in the morning when the DSP was returning with a convoy of 7 vehicles. His vehicle was the third. The guerrillas allowed two vehicles to pass and specifically targeted the third vehicle. The landmine blasted the vehicle to pieces, killing the 5 on the spot.

On Oct.19th, in the Dhanrua Thana area of Patna district, 7 police personnel were killed in an ambush. Amongst those killed were two notorious police officers attached to a nearby police station. Police Inspector Subhash Kumar Suman, and Assistant Sub-inspector Babulal Soren were notorious in the area for their repressive measures. In the action, in which it is reported that about 100 people participated, the guerrillas seized 5 .303 rifles, one carbine, one revolver and some ammunition. After the action the police went on a rampage attacking people and arresting all and sundry. But, when they raided the nearby villages only cattle were to be found with the people having taken shelter elsewhere. This action, near the state capital created panic amongst the enemy forces, with the police in a state of near revolt against their officers. Huge compensations by the Chief Minister and a visit by the RJD president helped diffuse the situation.

On Nov. 21st six persons, including five BMP jawans, were killed in a landmine blast triggered by the PGA near Koirbigha village in Gaya district. The patrol party was on its way to probe a shootout reported from Bhuiyan Tola, when they were ambushed. The guerrillas seized 5 SLRs one carbine and a revolver from the ambush site.

With these successful actions in this region, the PGA is growing in strength and the people are realizing the significance and importance of having their own peoples’ army.
