We do not have time for mourning. We have no right
to be pessimistic and terrified. There is no place for emotions, hesitations and
retreats in the course of the revolution. In this march, there is no place for
those who do not understand and are not aware, who do not live and act, who do
not or cannot march in the battle zone without this consciousness.
There is no revolution, no life, no future, no
1iberation, no beauty and no freedom for those who do not know the force of the
storms of the Black Sea. None of these awaits those who cannot discern its dark
face of cruelty and who do not show the courage to march against the dark storms
of the Black Sea. "A revolution is not a dinner party... A revolution
is an insurrection, an act of violence
by which one class overthrows another."
Those who do not understand, who do not take
positions who are not equipped in this way, cannot be part of the struggle, the
revolution and the rebuilding the Party for the people’s democratic revolution,
socialism and communism. Those who do not think and act in this way cannot be
eternal and immortal candidates in the Party’s life and the march of revolution.
"A revolution is not a dinner party."
Revolution is an upheaval, a pitiless process of DESTRUCTION and RECONSTRUCTION.
Revolution is a life-and-death struggle, a pitiless act of violence. To wage a
revolution is to become skilled at walking on the sharp knife-edge and through
the storms. Revolution is a time for an eye-for-an-eye, tooth-for-a-tooth,
chest-for-a-chest struggle against fascism, paying a heavy price and making the
enemy pay a heavy price.
Revolution is a struggle, it is the struggle itself
and its consequences. We fight for the revolution, make revolutions within the
struggle, and we revolutionise ourselves within the war. We march towards
victory by knowing the rules of war by waging war.
There is no death for revolutionaries and
communists;
There is NO DEATH for people who fight and become
martyrs in this struggle for revolution, socialism and communism! There is NO
DEATH for people who sacrifice their limited lives for an infinite cause,
revolution and freedom! There is NO DEATH for people who show courage in
destroying the old and building the new! There is NO DEATH for those who fight
and sacrifice their lives for a cause that will move the world!
There is NO DEATH for those who lead the war, who
are inflamed by the fire of struggle, whose hearts bleed with each defeat and
victory, who are optimistic with our people and comrades, who sing paeans of
victory! There is NO DEATH for people who swathe our martyrs in banners and then
bury them in the sun, in this war of struggle for existence. There is no death
for those who bind their wounds, pick our red flag and hoist it on the peaks!
There is NO DEATH for heroic leaders and fighters
who fight in this unrestricted and unrestrained people’s war in the light of
Marxism-Leninism-Maoism! There is NO DEATH for those who fight in all aspects of
life and become martyrs for the Party, the people and the revolution, and who
give flesh to our policies and ideals in life!
There is NO DEATH for communist leaders and
fighters who realise Marxism-Leninism-Maoism, the Party, the revolution, the
country, the spirit of the people and all aspects of proletarian communist
identity in themselves!
There is NO DEATH for those who do not abandon the
struggle against all sorts of anti-Marxist-Leninist-Maoist ideology, who are
against all sorts of liquidation, ideological degeneration, political deviations
and organisational mismanagement!
There is no death for those who show courage and
fight against organisational mismanagement during the rebuilding of the Party!
There is no death for the architects and defenders of Party rebuilding!
There is NO DEATH for those, who direct the
strategy of the people’s war as the main strategy of revolution, there is no
death for those, who create, carry out and apply the new methods for the
continuance and endurance of the guerrilla war!
There is NO DEATH for those, who take stronger
steps for waving and hoisting the international flag of the international
proletariat both in the country and around the world. There is no death for
those, who join the leaders of the international proletariat!
There is NO DEATH for those who comprehend that
"there is no recipe for war but the laws of the people’s war" and apply this
to the conditions of Turkey. There is NO DEATH for those who give light to
knowledge, courage, dedication and beauty.
There is NO DEATH for those who defend and
implement the idea that without educating, organising, involving and winning the
sympathy of the masses, the people’s democratic revolution, socialism and
communism will not be brought to life.
There is NO DEATH for those who stand against
internal betrayers and enemy attacks and walk confidently along the path we have
to take, with the understanding that, "to be afraid of the enemy is
meaningless... The real thing, which
wounds and troubles me, is the arrows of those who hit me from behind, and the
bitter smiles of those who we knew as friends. "
There is NO DEATH for those who live with
proletarian ethics and culture and the proletarian revolutionary style of
living. There is NO DEATH for those who condemn a "private life style" and live
as party members and warriors 24 hours a day!
There is NO DEATH for us! We have our vows of
vengeance and battle cry!
Let our enemies and friends know us thus!
We go on with the struggle... Paying a price in
battle is unavoidable. We are not the only ones who pay the price. We also make
and will make the enemy pay the price at the same time.
The consciousness of paying the price and making
the enemy pay the price, of being close to the people, the revolution, the Party
and the comrades, a high degree of the spirit of sacrifice and despising death,
is to walk towards the people’s democratic power, socialism and communism in the
light of communist perception and the scientific ideology of
Marxism-Leninism-Maoism.
Our martyrs, singing the paeans of our martyrs,
(such slogans as, "Everything for the Party, the Party for the revolution!"
"Long live our party:TKP/ML") are the red river for deepening and carrying
out our ideology and politics.
Our martyrs are the epitome of our ideals, of our
decisiveness in the struggle like the enduring, towering and elegant peaks of
the mountains of Ararat, Munzur, Taurus and Kachkar. These peaks carry us to
conquer the sun and the stars.
Therefore, each of our martyrs is a significant
"loss" in the short term. But on the other hand, in the medium and long term,
they will be strong gains for our 25 years of class struggle and especially
today, in the rebuilding of the Party and the continuation of the class
struggle.
That is how it is for those who comprehend the laws
of war, for those who understand and comprehend the rebuilding of the Party, and
it has to be this way.
We have sacrificed great "losses" in our 25 years
of history. We have paid a heavy price. However, each time we have replaced the
"losses". We have also made the enemy pay the price. The enemy has also had
losses. We have lost tens of our leaders and hundreds of our fighters in this
relentless bloody war.
In spite of all this, we did not stand back in this
class war. We have bound our wounds and marched on with dignity with the lessons
we have learnt each time. We march on, we will still march on.
We have witnessed many a betrayal and treason. The
martyrdom of our Party’s founding leader, Ibrahim Kaypakkaya, in the torture
chambers, left the Party leaderless. In 1976 the Co-ordination Committee
deviated from the party line and left the Party leaderless. The factional groups
fled abroad as refugees by leaving the class struggle against the fascist
military dictatorship on 12 September 1980.
In 1984, the Second Central Committee turned its
back on the reality of war, threw itself into the arms of opportunism and
gradually into revisionism, and betrayed the Party line.
In 1987, the Third Conference delegates and ablest
leaders of the Party were martyred, such as U.Kucukbayrak, Z.Uygun, M.Kemal
Yiimaz, A. Riza Boyoglu, H.Tosun and I.Polat. Soon after came the left-sectarian
group DABK (East Anatolia Regional Committee) which split from the Party; the
cruel attacks of coup makers and liquidators in April 1994, and their attempts
to liquidate the Party completely; or the right-left liquidation, which was the
product of ideological degeneration and flightism.
None of these prevented us in our course.
Naturally, we were wounded.... and weakened, naturally we were hesitant and
shaken during these internal betrayals and external coups.
However, these are turning points in this tortuous
course for those who walk on, in the light of the proletarian scientific
ideology of Marxism-Leninism-Maoism. Decisive and persistent people will always
overcome these obstacles and bends. Proof of this is our history and our
martyrs.
Let us look at our history! Let us look at our
resistance, sacrifices and heroic acts! Then we will see how we overcome the
obstacles and bends that lay before us.
Let us look at the betrayals that occurred in the
recent past. How did we overcome these blows? Let us look at the reasons, how
our Party stood on its feet, how the Party was forced into a period of
rebuilding in spite of the degeneration and deviation from its objective, and
the efforts at liquidation. Let us look at the settlement of accounts between
the old and the new style. Let us look at the victory and resistance, the
destruction of the old, and the success of the new and its hegemony over the
old.
Let us look at and realise the significance of the
period of the rebuilding of our Party and its position in the new style of
struggle. Let us see and comprehend the importance of the developments and the
top-to-bottom set-up of our Party’s new style that is based chiefly on guerrilla
warfare, and the new spirit in us, in the Party and among the masses.
People who cannot discern this new development
consider it unimportant or dislike it, or do not understand the aspects of this
process, are those who know nothing about the liquidation of the Party. They
left the Party and leadership in the most difficult times of the Party, because
they could not comprehend the laws of war and the Bolshevik-style party. They
were terrified and became pessimistic. They became part of the legal
liquidation, defenders and apparatchiks of this kind of policy.
They became the defenders and apparatchiks of
dissolution but not resolution; dispersion but not organisation; break up but
not unity; protection of the status quo and inertia but not progress; self-centredness
and liberalism but not the involvement of command and adaptation; Menshevism,
environmentalism and legal liquidation but not Bolshevism.
The communist partisans, who emphasised the need
for restructuring the party against all the disorders and distortions of the
right and left liquidators, and who practised this policy in all aspects of
life, came out of this life-costly war, bound their wounds and mainly passed
through this bend.
The Second Extraordinary Party Conference became
the first step in this, preparation for the new period. Although its results are
not yet satisfactory, the path has become clearer. What did this show us? This
experience showed us that all sorts of liquidationist attempts can be tackled
and all diversions can be overcome when we fight against the enemy tooth for
tooth, and pass on our ideology to the masses in the light of
Marxist-Leninist-Maoist science with decisiveness, the spirit of sacrifice,
proletarian-revolutionary lifestyle and Bolshevik style of work.
In all the liquidationist attempts, the
liquidators’ common features are — because of their ideological attacks —
ideological erosion, ideological muddle, ideological deviation and political
impasse. All these have created organisational destruction and looseness.
The Left and right liquidators as seen in
Menshevism, set the Party on this route. In this respect, the liquidationist way
mentioned above had a great impact on the Party. This problem was identified and
taken into consideration by the Second Extraordinary Party Conference.
The leaders assessed that the main problem must be
solved by preventing ideological liquidation. Only then will the reconstruction
of the Party be completed. In this respect, those who do not understand and
comprehend this period of liquidation will bring danger to the Party. The Party
may be alienated from its base and become constricted, superficial and
one-sided.
It must be conducted with the methods of work of
the Bolshevik party organisation and the Party’s war discipline. This means
creating the type of people with the characteristics of a state of war, in order
to destroy the "the mass line of survival", the exhausted, parasitic,
bankrupt life style.
‘If you are determined, you will succeed"
as long as you grasp the struggle and the
Party. As long as you grasp the meaning of the militant spirit of the Party.
Only those will succeed who are inclined, not to comfort but to hardship, not to
splitting but to unity, not to tiredness but to assertiveness, not to extinction
but to victory.
Revolutionaries are capable of winning; communists
can be the masters of victory. For we are condemned to enter the gates of the
New World, where it says, "You will win" as the advanced detachment of
our class in the selective course of the historical march and our place in the
struggle.
We will win;
we will defeat the enemy and win. Even if it costs
us rivers of blood and millions of lives.
We will win
with our flesh and our fingernails, with our
pickaxe, fork and shovel, sickle and hammer, circuit breaker; with our pencil,
paper and question impressed on the trigger; with the gun-shot which is in the
service of our ideology, our policy and our strategy for power.
We will win
with the support of the international proletariat,
with the assertiveness and rich experience of the struggle of the working class
and our people, with the power and belief of wisdom our Party has given us. We
will attack and win.
We will win
until we deck the globe with this slogan from top
to bottom. We have offered and will offer our service to the revolutionary laws
of social liberation and universal freedom.
We have offered and continue to offer our service
to the laws of revolution. The consciousness and power of overcoming
difficulties and the perseverance on our course come from this awareness. Our
character and practice as architects of the process of reconstruction come from
this spirit of daring, courage and decisiveness.
It springs from the belief in fighting, resisting
and winning. This is the style of thinking that provided us with communist
leaders, with the inspiration for overcoming difficulties and persisting in the
struggle against all hardships, betrayals, losses and defeats.
"Difficulty is the teacher of communists... The
difficulty is in transforming society, the world and ourselves. This can be
achieved. Its condition depends on our ideology, our policy and the class
struggle."
